A strong brand strategy and a new website to help position the business for growth

Since 2013, Michael D’Rews has helped thousands of guests across the planet find suitable accommodation for their short stays in London, Paris, and along the Côte d’Azur.

These guests have included pop stars, actors, ambassadors, and well-known entrepreneurs.

To encourage the next stage of growth and focus on the London short let market, founder Michael Andrews wanted a new website and brand presence.

Problem

A very basic web presence was holding the Michael D’Rews brand back from its next stage of growth.

As one of the pioneers of the short-let Airbnb management sector, the brand was getting lost in a sea of new competitors that had little comparable experience but newer, more compelling websites.

Michael asked me to help solve this problem.

Solution

During the brand strategy phase, I conducted a competitor analysis to understand exactly what was going on in the short-let market.

I also spent a great deal of time talking with Michael about how he wanted to develop the brand and what he felt were his unique capabilities that gave him a competitive advantage.

Result

Furnished with all the insights from my competitor analysis and work with Michael, I set about creating a new brand strategy centred around the idea that Michael D’Rews was indeed London’s Short Let Experts.

Website planning commenced and wireframes and a sitemap were developed prior to building this out into the website.

Owning this brand position of being London’s Short Let Experts was now the goal and challenge and we then start crafting thousands of words of website copywriting, as we developed content for all of the boroughs of London.

The brand has gone from strength to strength and I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michael on advertising and marketing activities since.
